Free Workshops

All color guard, drum line teams and aspiring twirlers will want to make their way to the Bandshell Lawn by 1 p.m. to participate in this year's FREE workshops:

  • Enid Twirling Academy will host the Learn 2 Twirl workshop! The University of Oklahoma's new twirler, Haylee Chiariello, will instruct the class and batons will be provided for workshop use only.
  • Southwestern Oklahoma State University will host both the color guard and drum line workshops. Their color guard team and drum line will teach some new techniques to move students toward a higher level of achievement.

Special Thanks

Band Day could not run successfully each year without volunteers donating their time and energy to make sure Oklahoma schools can participate in a quality event.

We want to thank the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Band Program for providing more 2,500 water bottles for the students, hosting the drum line and color guard workshops, and being the award ceremony emcee for many years.

We have been searching for a new event day coordinator and volunteer group, and we are excited to announce that the new Southern Nazarene University Marching Band Program has graciously agreed to take on this venture. They will provide manpower, and coordinate check-in, directional personnel, staging and advancement of bands for the competition.

Please be sure to thank these two Universities for their services when you see them.
